Utah Return To Work Program

Description

Utah
Utah’s Return to Work Program is a virtual training program designed for neurodivergent individuals interested in entering or reentering the workforce. This program combines industry-relevant technical training, practical experience, and individualized career support to help participants rebuild their skills, increase their confidence, and prepare to successfully enter or reenter the workforce.

What participants will receive:

Develop practical, in-demand technical and professional skills valued by today’s employers.
Build career readiness skills, including workplace professionalism, communication, teamwork, and self-advocacy.
Strengthen resumes and enhance the ability to communicate skills and experience to employers.
Increase confidence and preparedness for successfully reentering and navigating the workforce.
Receive individualized support including regular check-ins, workplace guidance, and assistance with the transition back into employment.

Training:

Training is completed over a five-week period with a small cohort of 2–4 participants. Participants can expect to commit up to 30 hours per week through a blend of facilitated sessions, self-directed learning, and ongoing support activities.

After successfully completing the training phase, participants may be considered for placement into an apprenticeship experience. Successful completion of the program does not guarantee an apprenticeship. Opportunities are based on program performance, participant readiness, and employer availability. Apprenticeships provide structured, real-world work experience that helps participants develop skills, build confidence, and enhance their readiness for future employment.

To be eligible, candidates must:

Be based in Utah and be available for the full duration of the program.
Be entering or reentering the workforce. For example, this may include recent college graduates or individuals returning to work after an employment gap of six months or more due to caregiving, health, or other life circumstances.
Identify as having a neurodivergent profile or another barrier to employment that may benefit from additional career and workplace support.
Commit to attending and completing all training program sessions.
Adhere to professional conduct and workplace expectations throughout the program.
Have access to a computer with a reliable internet connection, camera, and microphone.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis
