The Position: We are looking for two full-time staff attorneys. One will be in Kalispell and the other in Billings. The full-time pay we offer is $60,500 -$74,000, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
· Interview, meet with, advise, and represent eligible clients on civil matters.
· Conduct safety planning with clients and connect them to appropriate resources.
· Compose correspondence, pleadings and other documents.
· Develop law related educational programs and materials directed to the client community or agencies regarding the legal rights of survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
· Research the law and prepare memoranda.
· Handle all aspects of a client’s legal matter, including preparing pleadings, negotiation, mediation and trial work.
Locations:
Kalispell: You’ll be based in one of Montana’s most picturesque areas. (Flathead County). You are minutes from Glacier National Park, the Going-to-the-Sun road and Flathead Lake (the largest fresh body of water west of the Mississippi). Biking and hiking trails abound and there are plenty of year-round events in the downtown area.
Billings: The largest city in Montana, Billings has plenty to offer and maintains the feel of small town Montana. Bursting with craft beer, Montana’s only walkable brewery trail is located close to our office, in the heart of downtown Billings. A self-guided tour is made up of six breweries, two distilleries and one cider house. Nestled in between sandstone cliffs and the Beartooth Mountains which gives Billings the “Montana’s Trailhead” name. There is a path for any personality: Arts & Culture Aficionado, History Buff, Outdoor Enthusiast, Foodie, Roadtripper, Shopaholic, Wellness, and Family Adventures.
