Do you know your rights in the workplace? Join us to explore the laws that govern the employer-employee relationship at the city, state, and federal levels. Learn how these laws prevent discrimination and promote safe work environments. You’ll also learn how these guidelines affect employee pay and benefits.
About The Workforce Spark Series
The Center for Financial Inclusion and the Financial Empowerment Center at the Greater Washington Urban League is hosting a “Spark Series” of classes to help you maximize job earnings to fuel the life you want to live. Our series of classes, led by industry experts, will cover a range of topics from mapping your passion to your career to navigating power structures in the workplace. The classes are designed to be taken as a series as each one builds upon the material from the class before it. We encourage you to take all the classes in the series. Upon completion of the “Spark Series” you will be eligible to take advantage of our career coaching sessions at no cost to you.
Our highly interactive classes are designed to include any learner at any level. At no charge but with a commitment to invest in yourself and you will leave with a pathway to reach your career goals.
