Free

Bring your job search questions to this open Q&A session focused on real concerns, practical answers, and next steps.

Overview

About this session

This Job Strategy Group session is an open forum focused on the real questions job seekers are facing.

Instead of covering one specific topic, this session gives participants space to ask about the parts of the job search that feel confusing, frustrating, or unclear. Questions may focus on resumes, interviews, applications, networking, LinkedIn, career change, follow-up, or job search strategy.

You may explore questions such as:

• Why am I not hearing back after applying?
• How do I explain gaps, transitions, or short-term jobs?
• What should I say in interviews?
• How do I follow up after applying or interviewing?
• How can I stay motivated when the process feels slow?

This session is designed to be practical, supportive, and guided by participant questions.

What to expect

• A brief, low-pressure networking activity at the beginning
• Open Q&A based on participant needs
• Practical job search tips and examples
• Group discussion and shared ideas
• Guidance from RochesterWorks career advisors

Who should attend
