Autism in the Workplace

April 24 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Autistic individuals tend to face unique challenges in the workplace. However, there are ways businesses and organizations can work towards eliminating potential obstacles which will assist people in having job success.

Many Autistics find work culture frustrating as it often caters to the preferences of neurotypical peers. The good news is that employers who are open to the concept of neurodiversity are increasing. These types of employers will often work to accommodate needs, and, as a result, their businesses will benefit from the unique skills and expertise Autistic people bring to the worksite.

Join us for this Autism in the Workplace learning session where we make the business case for why HR Managers and other key stakeholders will experience success when hiring Autistic individuals. Organizations with inclusive cultures are 2 times likely to meet or exceed financial targets and are 8 times more likely to achieve better business outcomes (Source: Government of Canada)
