Graduates to Jobs: No Perfect Path
July 8 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Free
Join us online to explore real stories and tips on landing jobs without having a perfect plan!
Still sending applications into the void? Wondering if everyone else has it figured out except you?
You’re not alone. This is for you.
Graduates to Jobs: No Perfect Path is a free virtual panel talk where recent graduates share their honest, unfiltered job search journeys of countless rejections, the unexpected pivots, the lucky breaks, and the lessons learned along the way.
This isn’t a polished career seminar or a sales pitch for a paid programme. It’s a peer-to-peer conversation, led by people who were exactly where you are not long ago, and who want to pass on what helped them.
We believe the graduate job market in the UK is tough, and not everyone has access to the same networks, resources, or guidance. This talk is our small way of changing that.
What you’ll get:
- Real stories from graduates across different industries — tech, engineering, social sciences, communications, and marketing
- Honest answers to the questions you’re actually googling at midnight
- Industry-specific conversations in small breakout rooms, where you can ask freely
- Free resources and tools that actually helped us
Who is this for:
- Recent graduates or final-year students in the UK navigating the job market
- Career changers looking to understand how others made the leap
- Anyone who needs a reminder that they’re more ready than they think
Who you will meet:
- April Pham – University of Leeds | Communications Officer, Commonwealth Local Government Forum
- Emilio Rello Rincón – University of Leeds Graduate | Transport Analyst, Transport Strategy Centre, Imperial College London
- Dr Mohammad Ihsun – University of Bradford Graduate | Electronic Engineer, York Probe Sources
- Nolan Le – University of Huddersfield Graduate | Software Engineer, Lloyds Banking Group
- Oscar Zhong – University of Lancaster Graduate | Data Analyst, The Growth Company
