Creating the Conditions: Building Inclusive Opportunities for All
Join us this October as we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month highlighting how inclusive cultures are built with intention, empathy, and collective action. NDEAM reminds us of the indispensable role that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) play in our workplaces and communities. While we spotlight the power of inclusion during October, our commitment extends year-round to weaving accessibility, opportunity, and belonging into every day.
2025 Event Highlights
Join us for an inspiring storyteller showcase hosted by Stephanie Rothey, Director of National Partnerships. This year’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month broadcast is centered on the power of lived experience and the impact of personal storytelling. Through four unique perspectives, we will illustrate how individuals and organizations alike are creating the conditions for inclusive employment.
By taking a 360-degree approach, this year’s program shines a light on the many voices that shape inclusive workplaces. From the employees building confidence and skills, to the managers championing opportunity, to the colleagues, families, and support systems that surround them, each story demonstrates that inclusion does not happen by accident; it is the result of intentional action and shared responsibility.
Together, these perspectives form a powerful narrative of what is possible when everyone plays a role in creating cultures of opportunity and belonging. This showcase is not only a celebration of achievement but also a call to action, reminding us that the conditions for inclusion are built through connection, collaboration, and commitment at every level
