About Us - Hire Autism

Hire Autism is a free program led and run by the Organization for Autism Research (OAR). With an active jobs board and by offering resources for employers and job seekers alike, Hire Autism aims to expand opportunities for autistic individuals and serve as a continuing resource for them in their workplaces.

OAR is a national, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization formed and led by relatives of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders. OAR promotes research that helps families, educators, caregivers, and autistic individuals find much-needed answers to their immediate questions and supporting programs that enhance their quality of life.

Vision: To create a world where autistic people are sought after as employees across all industries, experience levels, and job types.

Mission: To improve employment opportunities for autistic individuals and help businesses create more inclusive workplaces.

Alexander M. “Sandy” Lankler is best remembered for his private generosity to others.
