SUMMARY:Unlocking Neurodivergent Potential in the Workplace
DESCRIPTION:About this event \nOur panel-based discussion will be focusing on the future of neurodiversity in the workplace: the challenges and how business leaders can enable neurodivergent individuals to be successful. \nWhat is Neurodiversity? \nNeurodiversity is the concept that all humans vary in terms of their neurocognitive ability. The term neurodiversity encompasses a range of neurodivergent conditions\, including ADHD\, autism\, dyslexia\, dyspraxia and dyscalculia. \nWhat are the challenges? \nEveryone has talents and things that they struggle with. However\, for some people the variation between those strengths and weaknesses is more pronounced\, which can bring talent but can also be disabling. \nNeurodivergent people tend to find some things very easy and other things incredibly hard. This usually leads to an inconsistent performance at school or work.

SUMMARY:Neurodiversity in Culture and the Case for Neuroinclusion
DESCRIPTION:Even a decade ago\, most people knew very little about neurodiversity. \nToday\, while the community still faces bias and misconceptions\, we also see the rapid rise of “neuroinclusion” as a priority and talent strategy for leading employers. \nIn this webinar\, we will explore where this has all come from – and what employers need to know when it comes to the cultural landscape relating to neurodiversity in society and in employment. \nIn this panel discussion\, we will be answering: \n\nWhat is the movement to achieve neuroinclusion and why is it happening now?\nWhat factors are contributing to more confident self-advocacy amongst the neurodistinct community?\nWhat challenges and roadblocks might neurodistinct people have faced due to low cultural awareness?\nWhat is an organization’s role in social equity relating to neurodiversity and neuroinclusion?

SUMMARY:Personal Use or Reasonable Accommodation: What’s What?
DESCRIPTION:Many employers understand it’s not their responsibility to furnish personal use items\, those items needed both on and off the job\, as a form of reasonable accommodation. But are there times a personal use item may evolve into a work-related item or accommodation? Perhaps. What about if an employee chooses not to use personal use items\, do employers still have to consider reasonable accommodations? Perhaps. Join JAN Motor Consultants as they go over some common and not so common issues when deciphering between what is considered a personal use item and what is considered a reasonable accommodation in this JAN training. \nPresenters: \nLisa Mathess \, Lead Consultant – Motor Team\nMatthew McCord \, Senior Consultant – Motor Team
