SUMMARY:How to Navigate the Remote and Flexible Job Market: Trends in 2023
DESCRIPTION:A choice of work environment and location is now a key factor for many job seekers when searching for a better work-life balance and evaluating new career opportunities. FlexJobs’ 2022 Career Pulse Survey found that 65% of respondents reported a desire to work remotely full-time\, while 32% want a hybrid work environment. That’s an incredible 97% of workers who desire some form of remote work! \nIdeally\, people can balance their career and their personal life in a way that works best for their needs\, and having a more flexible job typically helps with this. Are you interested in remote jobs and flexible work options\, like being able to work from home\, have a flexible schedule\, find a professional-level part-time job\, or work on freelance/contract projects? What if you’re not ready to return to the office because of pandemic-related concerns? Can you continue to work remotely? Can your employer make you come into the office? This webinar will discuss the flexible job market\, trends in 2023 to pay attention to\, and how to position yourself for a remote or flexible job.

SUMMARY:Good Practice for Neurodiversity Professionals
DESCRIPTION:Neurodiversity Professionals – including physicians\, psychologists\, educators\, specialist teachers and coaches have an important role to play in empowering neurodivergent colleagues once recognised\, with or without a formal diagnosis. \nBut when it comes to professionals\, many of us have been trained to think about neurological differences using a deficit model. Such a model\, which can often focus almost exclusively on a person’s impairments and challenges\, can lead us to see that person as the challenge\, rather than a more balanced view that includes the environment around them. \nAs practitioners work hard to increase representation for many aspects of diversity\, this should also be true of diverse minds! \nPlease join us for an exciting panel discussion where we will cover: \n\n\nRecognising the social context of neurodiversity and how it is helpful \n\n\nUnderstanding the strengths\, challenges\, and pathways for neurodivergent colleagues \n\n\nThe importance of not separating the person from the label \n\n\nHow to provide high-quality services to individuals \n\n\nThoughtful and inclusive environmental design \n\n\nAs this is a panel discussion\, there will be lots of time for questions and interaction with you! \nThis is a free online event via Zoom. \nPlease note that our events are not being recorded\, to encourage our participants to speak openly about their personal stories and experiences.

SUMMARY:Neurodiversity in the workplace

Around 10 per cent of people are neurodiverse\, a term which describes a range of conditions including difficulties with attention\, memory and impulse control as well as longer-term conditions like Autism\, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Dyslexia. \n  \nNeurodiversity awareness is growing and employers are recognising the wider impact of attending to this of beyond the immediate benefits for neurodivergent employees. As awareness of neurodiversity grows\, it is important for workplaces to look at how they can support neurodivergent individuals to thrive. \n  \nIn this 60 minute webinar deliverd by Working Mindset\, participants can learn more about neurodiversity\, the benefits for organisations\, and how to support neurodivergent people to thrive at work. We will explore: \n  \nWhat we mean by neurodiversity. \nWhy neurodiversity matters. \nHow to best support neurodiverse individuals in your workplace \nYou’ll be sent an exclusive link to the webinar which will be streamed via Zoom.

SUMMARY:Cover Letter Best Practices
DESCRIPTION:Are cover letters really still needed? Yes! And this webinar will show you how to write effective cover letters without spending too much time on them. \nHere are some stats that prove cover letters are still necessary: A ResumeLab survey of 200 hiring managers found that 83% of the time\, a great cover letter was enough to sway them to extend a job interview to a candidate with a less-than-perfect resume. \nA majority of hiring managers said cover letters were crucial to their hiring decisions\, and 77% give preference to candidates who submit one\, even if they’re deemed optional on the application form. A similar percentage share always expects the document\, even if they’re not required in order to apply. \nA study by ResumeGo found that applications with cover letters carefully tailored to individual job descriptions yielded over 50% more interviews than job applications submitted without a letter. \nIn this webinar\, a FlexJobs career coach discussed how to write great cover letters for your remote job applications. \nOur March webinar series Spring Into Action with Your Job Search: Important Steps for Landing a New Job features three webinars: Writing Your Resume for Remote Jobs\, Cover Letter Best Practices\, and Preparing for Remote Job Interviews. Register for this and the other webinars in the series today!

SUMMARY:What Most Job Seekers Get Wrong About LinkedIn + What to do Instead
DESCRIPTION:I’m excited to share new features and resources you can use to maximize how you’re using LinkedIn in your job search. \nIn this LinkedIn Live\, I’m going to talk about what most job seekers get wrong about LinkedIn (and why it’s costing you interviews and job offers). Plus\, what you should be doing instead. \nI’ll also share the strategies I used to help my husband increase his profile views 1000%\, quadruple his network size\, and get interview invitations from recruiters in less than 24 hours. \nThese are the same strategies I teach my LinkedIn Unlocked course students. My students have used these strategies to: \n– 10x their network size\n– Triple their profile views\n– Get 3 or more interview invites from recruiters within a week of implementing these strategies.\n– Land job offers for their target roles \nPlus\, everyone who registers for the LinkedIn Live will receive access to the recording in case you can’t make it live or want to watch it again later and you’ll be entered into my course giveaway. I’ll give one attendee access to my 2x sell-out\, award-winning LinkedIn Unlocked course launching in April.
