SUMMARY:Neurodiversity in the workplace
DESCRIPTION:Neurodiversity refers to the different ways the brain can work and interpret information. Around 10 per cent of people are neurodiverse\, a term which describes a range of conditions including difficulties with attention\, memory and impulse control as well as longer-term conditions like Autism\, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Dyslexia. \n  \nNeurodiversity awareness is growing and employers are recognising the wider impact of attending to this of beyond the immediate benefits for neurodivergent employees. As awareness of neurodiversity grows\, it is important for workplaces to look at how they can support neurodivergent individuals to thrive. \n  \nIn this 60 minute webinar deliverd by Working Mindset\, participants can learn more about neurodiversity\, the benefits for organisations\, and how to support neurodivergent people to thrive at work. We will explore: \n  \nWhat we mean by neurodiversity. \nWhy neurodiversity matters. \nHow to best support neurodiverse individuals in your workplace \nYou’ll be sent an exclusive link to the webinar which will be streamed via Zoom.

SUMMARY:Cover Letter Best Practices
DESCRIPTION:Are cover letters really still needed? Yes! And this webinar will show you how to write effective cover letters without spending too much time on them. \nHere are some stats that prove cover letters are still necessary: A ResumeLab survey of 200 hiring managers found that 83% of the time\, a great cover letter was enough to sway them to extend a job interview to a candidate with a less-than-perfect resume. \nA majority of hiring managers said cover letters were crucial to their hiring decisions\, and 77% give preference to candidates who submit one\, even if they’re deemed optional on the application form. A similar percentage share always expects the document\, even if they’re not required in order to apply. \nA study by ResumeGo found that applications with cover letters carefully tailored to individual job descriptions yielded over 50% more interviews than job applications submitted without a letter. \nIn this webinar\, a FlexJobs career coach discussed how to write great cover letters for your remote job applications. \nOur March webinar series Spring Into Action with Your Job Search: Important Steps for Landing a New Job features three webinars: Writing Your Resume for Remote Jobs\, Cover Letter Best Practices\, and Preparing for Remote Job Interviews. Register for this and the other webinars in the series today!
