SUMMARY:Requesting and Negotiating Workplace Accommodations
DESCRIPTION:In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)\, covered employers must provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities upon recognizing the need for accommodation\, and when not an undue hardship. This Job Accommodation Network (JAN) training provides insights into disability disclosure and effective methods for requesting and negotiating accommodations. Attendees will be introduced to the JAN service\, receive an overview of the ADA and the accommodation process\, and gain practical tips and JAN resources to enhance their ability to request and negotiate job accommodations. \n
